Separation Anxiety
Limited series podcast about Alberta’s independence movement
Separation Anxiety is a five-part investigative podcast from Alberta journalists Danielle Paradis and Tim Querengesser exploring the province’s modern separatist movement: who’s driving it, what they want, the grievances and ideas fuelling it, and the political and cultural forces that have helped bring separation back into Alberta’s mainstream conversation. The series combines reporting from inside the movement with interviews and historical context to trace how Alberta separatism got here and where it may be headed.
Haq Story Studios was an early production partner on Separation Anxiety, working with Paradis and Querengesser on the initial concept, proposal and story development. We continued to support the series through production with script development, in-studio interviews and host segments, equipment and editorial support for field recording, and full post-production and sound design. Separation Anxiety was created with support from Canadian True Crime and is distributed by Acast.
